Porceline vessel in brass with paintings

Hand painted porcelain, gilt-bronze mount (ormolu) An ancient style  porcelain centrepiece is set in a gilt-bronze mount that consists of an square-shaped base with two persons blowing a musical instrument., a pierced rim of stylized floral motifs and two handles in a c-scroll motif with a bust of an old  century maiden. The piece presents a courtly scene of birds on a tree branch in nature. The gilded-bronze handles take on the shape of an aristocratic lady’s bust. The combination of soft-paste porcelain set in gilded-bronze (ormolu) mounts was popular in ancient times.
